new york design week 2008: bring it to the table

‘how sweet’ it is by natasha chetiyawardana. a sugar man sits on the precipice that is the edge of a cup,
dipping his feet into the drink to test the waters. a little poke from a sugar-hungry finger pushes him over the edge.

This toaster by Sasha Tseng incorporates a little message board where one can read quick notes. The message also gets “toasted” into the toast itself so it gives new meaning to “read while you eat”.

Designer: Sasha Tseng

i was so excited i would so have this in my future house
but it’s at the concept stage, not produced yet.

dmp

DMP, a portable music player that supports CD and MP3 files. Use the MP3 player as you normally would, hang it around your neck, clip it on your jeans or place it in your pocket. Otherwise open both sides and insert your favorite CD and you got yourself a CD player my friend. Now that’s music to my ears.

Designer: Yong-Seong Kim

i thought this was a wonderful idea but
honeastly, wouldnt you rather convert songs in your cd into mp3 and carry them that way? :-P
btw i have that album too :-D

inverted clock

Filed under: ::: view all :::, product design — kinshao @ 10:44 pm

.

Designers throughout the years have all created clocks that were different in design, yet they still bore the resemblance to the traditional clocks way of telling time. Jason, with his Inverted Clock design has taken the design of clocks to a new level. The inverted clock allows the minute/second hand to remain stationary and the numbers are what move. The Inverted Clocks come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and are mounted on a wooden veneered box. The clocks come in hour or both hour and minutes. A neat alternative to the way we tell time.
